“all you need to do is add the following two lines to the N45AP.plist file [under “capabilities” not under “root” in the property list] inside your Core Services’ SpringBoard app.

Apple launches official iPhone, iPod touch Web apps directory

Apple has launched an official directory of third-party web applications designed for use on the iPhone and iPod touch. This list of applications is broken down into categories such as “Entertainment”, “News”, “Productivity”, “Social Networking”, and more. Featured applications include Facebook, Digg’s iPhone Application, ESPN PodCenter, and others.

In addition to the directory, which can be found at apple.com/webapps/, Apple is also offering an RSS feed of the most recent additions to the directory. Other links on the page lead to a feedback page, an explanation of web applications and how to use them, and information on how to create and submit your own web application. Somewhat strangely, the directory does not appear to have been optimized for viewing on an iPhone or iPod touch.

iPod Touch Applications Tricks and Hacks

As of today apple released iPhone Apps some web apps like facebook for example.

I have not heard as of yet that iPod Touch will have similar features, but I bet you in about a month there will be a lot more to it.

If you look at the iPod Touch screen you can obviously see there is place for many other apps on home page(what i called it)

Now if they really did not attend to make such apps they could spread out the apps across the screen right? I don't think they would make it same as iPhone screen (just because)

I have seen ipod Touch hacks development in process, there is development team that are in process to hack ipod touch and see what other tricks can be done to it.

Is it worth hacking your iPod touch?

I wouldn't recommend because sooner or later apple will release some firmware(software) update and your ipod touch could get locked.

"This technique will work with either an iPod Touch or an iPhone, so there's no more waiting around for Apple to release a 3G iPhone,"Pyrofer writes.

"My idea was to use a Windows Mobile phone as a bridge from 3G to WiFi. Then you could just buy any cheap rubbish Windows phone, stick it in your pocket, and access the net at full 3G speed from a slimline iPod Touch [or iPhone],"Pyrofer reports.

Pyrofer also goes on to say, "I only needed to find out if the WiFi bridge was possible and how to do it. A quick trawl of my favourite sites, and I was in luck! I came across the solution on the XDA Developers Network. It took me a short while to set this up and test it, and suddenly I had my iPod Touch accessing the net at full 3.5G HSDPA speed via the Windows phone in my pocket!"
