Apple has updated their iTunes software to the new version 10.5. This free download is available for Mac, Windows XP, Vista, or Windows 7. For the first time however, Quicktime is not included with the iTunes software. Whats new in iTunes 10.5:
- iTunes is now in the cloud, so if you buy a song on your iPhone, it also appears on your iPad or other iDevice
- Re-Download past purchases: this used to be a headache before, Apple has now made it easy
- iTunes Match: for $24.99 a year iTunes scans your songs, and any music with a match is added to your iCloud library to listen on any Apple device. Any music that doesn't match can be uploaded and played back from iCloud, at 256 kbps, DRM-free
iTunes 10.5 is a worthwhile update.
