iPhone 4S is Available from Apple for AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint

Apple has announced the new iPhone 4S which will be available on AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint.  The new iPhone 4S will be offered for pre-order starting on October 7, 2011 and for delivery beginning October 14, 2011 AT&T and Verizon customers can pre-order, and Sprint is listed as "coming soon" iPhone 4S contains the following features:

• Dual core processor, new A5 chip - up to 2 times faster CPU
• Dual core graphics chip - up to 7 times faster graphics
• iOS 5, and Siri voice recognition personal assistant: ask a question; get an answer
• 8 hours of 3G talk time, 6 hours web browsing, 9 hours on WiFi, 10 hours of video and 40 hours of music
• iPhone 4S maximum data speeds of 14.4 Mbps down, 5.8 Mbps up, vs 7.2 down, 5.8 up for the iPhone 4
• iPhone 4S is now a World phone, works on GSM and CDMA in one phone
• 8 megapixel camera - 60% more pixels 3264 x 2448
• 1080p HD video recording, with video image stabilization and temporal noise reduction

The iPhone 4S is priced at: $199 -16GB, $299 - 32GB, $399 - 64GB with a two year contract.  The older iPhone 4 has been reduced to $99 for 8GB and the iPhone 3GS 8GB is available for FREE! with a contract.

pre-orders start October 7, 2011 in the US, Canada, Australia, the UK, France, Germany, and Japan and is available beginning October 14, 2011

Apple's New iPad 2 Release Date Announcement: News on Specs, Features, and Pricing

New iPad 2 is Faster, with Better Graphics, Front, and Rear Cameras, Dual-Core A5 Processer Available March, 11

The new iPad 2 was announced on Wednesday sporting a fast A5 chip with twice the performance of the A4 chip in last-generation's iPad released in 2010. The new Tablet is also more svelte, its now slimmer at 8.8mm vs the 13.4mm of the old model and has lost some weight, coming in at just 1.3 pounds, vs 1.5 pounds for the last iPad, so you'll be carrying less, but gaining so much more functionality.

The shiny new device will ship in America on March 11 for both AT&T, and Verizon. And will ship in the following countries on March 25:

Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK

Pricing will start at: $499 - 16 gig Wifi, $599 – 32 gig Wifi, and $699 - 64 gig Wifi. As well as $629 – 16 gig Wifi/3G, $729 – 322 gig Wifi/3G, and $829 – 64 gig Wifi/3G.

The all-new graphics chip offers 9 times the power of the former chip, making for much better gameplay, and snappier Apps. Specs at a glance:

• Colors - Black or White
  
• Front camera - video, VGA at 30 fps. and rear camera - HD 720p at 30 fps
  
• Battery life of 10 hours, with 1 month on standby

Apple also offers a new Smart Cover which wakes your iPad 2 when you open it, and puts it to sleep when you close it. The new cover uses magnets to auto-align it perfectly on your new iPad 2. Smart Covers are available in leather or polyurethane – ”the stuff space suits are made of,” in 5 colors with the polyurethane covers at $39 each, while the leather covers are $69 each.

The new iPad 2 represents a huge leap over the original iPad, with much better features, specs, and iPad 2 accessories than the former, and pricing that can't be beat. With this announcement, Apple annihilates the competition, and makes iPad 2 the tablet to beat. How To: Use your iPhone to Setup Internet Tethering, for a Windows PC, or a Mac

Tethering, using your iPhone is now supported by both AT&T, and Verizon. Using a Mac, (with OS X 10.5.8 or later) or a Windows computer running Windows XP (with service pack 3 or later) Windows Vista, or Windows 7 and a USB 2.0 port. The latest version of iTunes is also required, no jailbreaking is needed.

For tethering via Bluetooth requires all of the specs listed above, and Bluetooth Adapter activated on your computer, and iPhone, and your iPhone must be paired with your computer.

On your iPhone, tap Settings > General > Network > Internet Tethering to check that your carrier supports it, set “Internet Tethering” to “on” If this option isn't shown, and you're sure tethering is supported by your carrier, start iTunes (with your iPhone connected) and install the Carrier settings update.
