Download Opera Web Browser for Mac, PC, and Ubuntu Linux - Opera Mobile for iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Tablets

You've all heard of Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer; But there's another way to surf the net from a little company in Norway called Opera Software ASA.  They are the new kids on the block, and the product they produce is the Opera Web Browser (a free download) and this thing is FAST!

The difference is most notable when viewing videos on Hulu, and YouTube; and web browsing is speedy as well due to the Carakan Javascript Engine which helps load complex webpages superfast.

Opera has also added native support for BitTorrent so you filejunkies can get your fix, as well as HTML5.

Opera Turbo
This is the feature we're most exicted about, on a slow network -- with Opera Turbo enabled, we saw a noticable reduction in pageload times.  On a mobile connection this could save you time, and money.

Download Opera Web Browser
Opera is available for Mac, Windows, and Ubuntu Linux (and other distros: Debian, Fedora, RedHat and openSUSE) and a mobile version for iPhone, Android, and Blackberry SmartPhones.

iPad 2 User Guide and Manual - Free Download from Apple

 Jurvetson
Apple makes great products, but what happens when you've misplaced that handy user guide for your iPad 2? all is not lost, no need to trek back to the Apple Store for a new one.

And its great that you can buy the Black iPad 2, or White iPad 2 (starting with the 16 GB Wifi models) without getting out of your Computer Chair.

MacToTheFuture will point you to a resource  where you can obtain a free copy of the iPad 2 manual in a downloadable PDF - iPad 2 User Guide

Note: the guide may require you to download a free copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader, for Mac, P.C., or Linux:  Adobe Reader Download

Linux on iPhone/iPod Touch

I'm pleased to announce that the Linux 2.6 kernel has been ported to Apple's iPhone platform, with support for the first and second generation iPhones as well as the first generation iPod touch. This is a rough first draft of the port, and many drivers are still missing, but it's enough that a real alternative operating system is running on the iPhone.

iPhone Linux Demonstration Video from planetbeing on Vimeo.

What we have:

- Framebuffer driver
- Serial driver
- Serial over USB driver
- Interrupts, MMU, clock, etc.

What we have in openiboot (but hasn't been ported yet):

- Read-only support for the NAND

What we don't have (yet!):

- Write support for the NAND
- Wireless networking
- Touchscreen
- Sound
- Accelerometer
- Baseband support

The current userland we're using, in the interest of expedience, is a Busybox installation created with buildroot, but glibc works fine as well, and we're going to build a more permanent userland solution.

A demonstration video can be seen here: http://www.vimeo.com/2373142

Instructions here: http://www.iphone-dev.org/planetbeing/LINUX-README.txt

Download here: http://91.186.26.18/iphone/files/iphonelinux-demo.tar.gz (look for mirrors in the comments)

EDIT: The instructions are missing the step that you have to select openiboot console from the menu before performing the "sudo ./oibc" step. Just be aware you have to do that if it seems like you're not getting a response from the oibc client.
