Steve Jobs today unveiled a revamped iPod Touch at the Apple's fall 2010 event. The new iPod Touch 4G will feature a new HD video recordable rear-facing camera and microphone. In the front there is also another camera to be used for the FaceTime video chat feature. The FaceTime video capability is not restricted to between 2 iPod Touch 4Gs. The iPod Touch 4G will be powered by Apple's own A4 chip that also powers the iPhone 4 and it will run on iOS 4.1. The display has also been revamped with the introduction of the 960x640 retina display, and the 4G also has a 3-axis gyroscope.
From the dimensions point of view, the iPod Touch 4G is thinner than its predecessor featuring a slightly curved, flatter back, and a new speaker port near the Dock Connector. The new iPod Touch 4G will come in 3 options: 8GB model at $229, 32GB model at $299 and a 64GB model at $399. It is expected to go on sale next week. [Image source: engadget]
