Madden NFL10 iPhone and iPod Touch Game coming in September

This game will give the players the ability to play using real professional football teams and their favorite players. Also featured are complete rosters from all 32 NFL teams, authentic models of NFL stadiums such as Lambeau Field and the Metrodome.

There is also a season mode with in-depth trades, stats and individual player rewards, in-game commentary from John Madden, Tom Hammond and Cris Collinsworth, detailed roster management, the ability for players to draw up their own plays using the iPhone or iPod touch screen, and "Action Control Time" which lets you adjust the speed of your game so that the player gets more time to react to ongoing plays.

Part of the new Altus line, the premium ALT-SA31iR which will sell for $700, is a multi-room iPod package featuring three separate components: a docking station for iPod/iPhone and two high-output wireless speakers. An AM/FM tuner is also featured, along with an S-Air remote control with an LCD for display of metadata such as album, artist, and track information.

The AIR SW10Ti which will sell for $400, is a compact speaker system with an integrated dock, two built-in speakers, an FM tuner, 60 Watts RMS output power, an included remote control, and the ability to stream audio to compatible Altus and S-Air products.

iTunes 9 to feature Blu-ray support , social networking integration and app organization

iPod touch explosion incident cover up

According to a report in The Times, the father and daughter who were involved in the iPod Touch explosion incident have come out now saying that Apple attempted to silence them by offering them a refund only on the condition that they would not go public about the matter.

Ken Stanborough from Liverpool UK, dropped his daughter Ellie's iPod touch last month, after which it immediately "made a hissing noise" and he added that he "could feel it getting hotter in my hand, and I thought I could see vapour".  Stanborough then quickly threw the iPod touch outside and "within 30 seconds there was a pop, a big puff of smoke and it went 10ft in the air".

After complaining to Argos and Apple, Mr Stanborough received a letter from Apple requesting that he "agree that you will keep the terms and existence of this settlement agreement completely confidential", and that any breach of confidentiality "may result in Apple seeking injunctive relief, damages and legal costs against the defaulting persons or parties".  [via The Times]
